Advocates for the Irish language in Leitrim are joining forces this month to boost Gaeilge across the county. The Tionól Gaeilge Liatroma event will bring together teachers, community groups, and language enthusiasts in Drumshanbo later this month. Organisers say new Irish classes and conversation circles have already sparked renewed interest in speaking the language.
The meeting takes place on November 13th, with hopes to build a stronger, more connected Irish language speaking network. Organiser, Seán Ó Súilleabháin says there are a number of parties involved:
