31C: Roscommon breaks Ireland's record temperature for 2025

The mercury hit 31.1C in Mount Dillon this afternoon. 

Ireland's highest temperature of the year has been recorded in Co Roscommon today.

The mercury hit 31.1C in Mount Dillon this afternoon.

That was ahead of 30.2C in Oak Park in Carlow and 30C in Mullingar.

Sun-worshipers headed to several popular Shannonside locations today, including Lough Key Forest Park and Portrun.
