A total of 27 people turned down offers of social housing from Shannonside councils last year. Housing Minister James Browne says seven were refused in both Longford and Leitrim, and 13 in Roscommon.
A total of 934 were turned down throughout the country, which Minister Browne says appears low. But Tarmonbarry councillor Tom Crosby says he's concerned about the Roscommon stats:
