It's emerged that patients locally were among fifteen-hundred that waited more than an hour for an ambulance in the first half of this year.
According to National Ambulance Service figures, 365 of these delayed responses occurred in the region covering Leitrim and Roscommon.
Earlier this year, 52-year-old Drumshanbo resident had to wait an hour and twenty minutes for an ambulance to arrive after having suffered from a stroke.
