A total of 123 rapes or sexual assaults were reported to gardai in the Shannonside region last year.
CSO data shows they rose by a third in Roscommon-Longford, from 49 in 2023 to 66 last year.
And there were 57 in Sligo-Leitrim last year – a slight drop from 59 in 2023.
