The boss of Roscommon County Council says it would be ‘absolutely ludicrous’ to relocate a planned sports centre.
Construction is due to start in 2027 on an almost €20 million indoor and outdoor facility in Roscommon town.
But Independent councillor Tom Crosby says it should be based in a different town, like Strokestown.

The issue was discussed at yesterday's annual budget meeting of the council. Eoghan Murphy reports from there.
