When last seen yesterday in the Newtownforbes Road area outside of Drumlish, Peter was wearing a blue knitted jumper, dark trousers and a dark baseball cap with a red peak.

Residents in the town are gravely concerned they could be left without a GP service as the current doctor is leaving the area.

The Drumlish and Arva offices will remain available to serve the local community.

Both towns will receive the funding under the Rural, Regeneration and Development Fund.

Local Gardaí are urgently appealing to the public near Cloonellon in Drumlish to check sheds, farm buildings and surrounds.

As well as being the local Bishop for the past four years, he was also the parish priest of the west Roscommon parish. 

The club received a call relating to a swan that was in distress downstream of Athlone town.
