Ireland took to the polls yesterday to elect its 10th president.

Voters have been going to the polls in the presidential election since 7 o'clock this morning and stations will remain open until 10 o'clock tonight.

Polling stations are open from 7am until 10pm on Friday.

21% of people polled in the latest opinion poll by the Business Post/RED C say they haven't decided who they will vote for.
