Club notes for St. Brigids GAA Kiltoom

Club legend: The club was saddened to learn of the passing of Jimmy Martin, who won three senior county titles with St. Brigid’s in 1958, 1959 and 1963 and went on to become one of the country’s top referees.

Jimmy took charge of many major games at intercounty and club level. They included All-Ireland semi-finals, Connacht and Munster Finals and Railway Cup games.

Martin refereed five Roscommon SFC Finals from 1961 to 1980.  We extend our deepest sympathies to his wife Eileen, family and relatives. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.

Well done to Kate Nolan and the Roscommon Ladies who won their opening league game against Fermanagh last Sunday at Hyde Park. Best of luck to the team in their next game against Down this Sunday in Kiltoom.

Congrats: Congrats to Marist College students Ruaidhrí Fallon on being awarded the Victor Ludorum Outstanding Sportsman Award for 2021 and Ben O'Carroll on winning the John Parker Outstanding Contribution to GAA award for 2021.
