Cian Smith praised his players never say die effort after they landed the Connacht U20 title.
Roscommon came back to claim the Connact title with a 5-16 to 2-22 win over Mayo after extra-time.
“it's the one thing that we instilled in this group is we, no matter what, we never stop” explained Smith after Mayo ran into an eight-point lead.
“Whether we're two up, two down, seven or eight down, everything else, we just never stop” Smith declared.
“It's, you know, every one of the players, an absolute credit to themselves, their clubs, their families”.
“As I said, we're back since November. I can't tell you how many trainings we've done, gym sessions, video, everything. It's absolutely fantastic”.
“I'm so happy and so proud of all the players". Smih went on, "I'm proud to manage them. I'm proud to manage this common. It's a huge effort from everybody in my management team”.
Smith was quick to praise the Roscommon senior team and their win over Mayo last Sunday. Smith explain the positive impact it had on his side.
“I make no bones about it. We took great encouragement from what happened on Sunday. Again, so many connections with brothers and everything else and I know Mark and John Rogers and Ian Daly so well”.
“We'll rest, prepare ourselves and I guarantee you we'll give it a big shot explained Smith with Roscommon to face Kerry or Cork in the All-Ireland semi-final.
“All we do is prepare as best we can, the same as them. And it'll take every game as it comes and thankfully tonight paid off”.
