Roscomon will face Galway in the FBD League final

Roscommon booked another place in the FBD league final with a nine point victory over London in the Connacht Air-dome.

London put it up to Roscommon in the opening quarter. Liam Gallagher 0-2(1f), Daniel Clarke responding to Daire Cregg, Davy Murray and a Diarmuid Murtagh (free).

The Rossies pushed it on after the 13th minute. Eoghan McCormack with a fisted point, Davy Walsh and Murtagh putting Roscommon six points to three ahead inside three minutes.

Conor Cox, Murtagh and McCormack moved the Rossies six clear on 22 minutes. Whereas, Shane Rafter scoring London's first point in 13 minutes to make it a four point game.

Cox with two (1f) and Daire Cregg moved Roscommon 12 points to four points clear.

London comeback

However, London weren’t done. Ciaran McKeown blasted the ball into the Roscommon net on the half-hour mark. A Rafter free and Daniel Clarke from play made it a three point game in injury time.

A Conor Cox free in the third minute of additional time sent Roscommon in ahead at the break, 13 points to 1-6.

A Diarmuid Murtagh free saw Roscommon pick up where they left off after the break. Murtagh scored his fourth point of the game to make it 15 points to 1-7 on 39 minutes.

A Shane Rafter free was London's first score of the second-half on 44 minutes, Enda Smith restored Roscommon's six point lead on 49 minutes.

London never gave in, but let the chance to put it up to Roscommon go on 51 minutes. Liam Gallagher failing to convert a penalty, letting Conor Carroll make the save.

Daniel Clarke sent the ball over the Rossie's bar as London trailed 1-8 to 16 points with 17 minutes remaining.

Conor Cox, Andrew Glennon and Murtagh pushing Roscommon's lead out to eight points with 10 minutes remaining.

Shane Rafter converted a free eight minutes from time for what was London's final score of the game.

Andrew Glennon and a Conor Cox free rounded out the scoring for Roscommon who booked their place in the FBD league final against Galway.

Roscommon winning out 0-21 to 1-9.
