Roscommon hurlers produced a first-half master class to stay in the Nickey Rackard Cup hunt.
Goals from Finn Killion and Robbie Fallon helped Roscommon to a 2-16 to seven points half-time lead, as Roscommon went onto win 4-27 to 0-22 over Fermanagh.
A second Fallon goal and one from Seán Canning guaranteed a comprehensive victory. The result leaves the Rossies in a good position to reach this year’s Nickey Rackard Cup final against Mayo.
Roscommon travel to Louth next weekend, where a win would be enough to claim second place and a semi-final spot. Mayo have already sealed top spot and a place in the final.
Elsewhere, Leitirm’s Lory Meagher Cup interest came to an end when Warwickshire scored a 2-17 to 18-point victory in Birmingham.
The defeat means Leitrim cannot catch second placed Monaghan with one game remaining. Cavan have topped the Lory Meagher table and progress to the final.
Whereas, Longford or Monaghan meet next week to decide who will face New York in the semi-final.
