Roscommon Gaels booked their place in the Roscommon SFC quarter-finals with a five point win over Castlerea St. Kevin’s.
Castlerea’s Aaron McDermott’s converted a penalty six minutes before half-time as Roscommon Gaels led 1-5 to 1-14 at half-time. Richard Walsh had found the Castlerea net after 10 minutes.
John McManus landed a second goal for Gaels three minutes from time to see Gaels win out 2-12 to 1-10.

The result means Roscommon Gaels finishing second in group C behind Boyle and take a quarter-final place. Castlerea St. Kevin’s enter the relegation play-off.
