Offaly have to much for improving Leitrim

However, the Leitrim side raced into a five point lead through Keith Keegan, Paul Honeyman, Riordan O’Rourke and Ben Guckian.

However, the game swung in Offaly’s favour in first-half injury time.

John Furlong fisted a falling two pointer into the back of the net to give Offaly daylight going into the break. The Leitrim defence appealed for a square ball but the referee waved the protests away.

Offaly slowed the game down in the second-half and kept control of the scoreboard against the young Leitrim side.
