Mohill got the defence of their Connacht Gold Leitrim senior football championship off to a convincing winning start over Allen Gaels.
The defending champions had far too much for the north Leitrim outfit out 6-14 to Allen Gales 1-5.
Elsewhere in group one Fenagh-St Caillins scored a three point win over Ballinamore-Sean O'Heslin's 1-13 to 13 points.

In group two St. Mary’s Kiltoghert landed a big win over 2019 champions Glencar-Manorhamilton, 1-14 to 10 points. A big victory for St Mary’s as an away game to Glencar-Manor.
Meanwhile, 2020 intermediate champions Gortletteragh fell to a seven point defeat to Melvin Gaels, Melvin Gaels winning out 1-14 to 10 points.
