The Midlands county last tasted success in the competition in 2014

Longford face Louth in the Lory Meagher Cup Final at Croke Park this Saturday with the game throwing in at 1pm. Five of the current squad, Karl Murray, Cian Kavanagh, Cathal Mullane, Captain Johnny Casey and Joe O'Brien all featured in the 2014 Lory Meagher Championship Final victory over Fermanagh. Eoin Donnellan who is part of the management team and who also doubles up as sub goalie also played in Longford’s 2014 championship success. Unfortunately, the Longford captain, Johnny Casey suffered a broken collarbone in the win away to Monaghan and he will miss out on the Croke Park Final. Ahead of the game, he spoke with Tony Ghee
