Leitrim fell to their first defeat in Allianz league division 3B following a 2-11 to 21 point defeat to Cavan.
The hosts led 15 points to 1-5 at half-time. The Leitrim goal coming from Stephen Goldrick on 22 minutes.
Cavan showed enough on the scoreboard in the second-half to keep Leitrim at bay. Points from Michael Dervan (2 1f), Gavin O’Hagan, Jeorme Fitzgibbon and Brendan Delaney brought the game back to seven points.

Leitrim found the net four minutes into injury time but it wasn’t enough as Cavan won out 21 points to 2-11.
