The Leitrim ladies footballers have two wins from as many games in the TG4 All-Ireland Intermediate Championship following a 4-7 to 2-9 victory over Clare in Ballinasloe.
Clare made the brighter start and a 17th minute goal from Laura O’Dowd saw them lead 1-2 to 0-1 at the first water break.
Leitrim were much better in the second quarter a 29th minute goal from Muireann Devaney helped to level the scoreboard at half-time

Three Leitrim goals in ten minutes opened up a six point gap with 15 minutes remaining as Michelle Guckian (two) and Laura O’Dowd found the net.
Chloe Moloney replied with a Clare goal with one minute left before a Michelle Guckian point sealed a four point win for Leitrim.
