The homeside registered 1-02 in injury time to take the victory

A late goal and point from Niall Mc Namee give Offaly a 1 point victory over Longford last night at the Faithful fields in Round 2 of the O' Byrne cup. Billy O Loughlin's side were leading by 3 points going into injury time by 2-12 to 15 points with their goals coming from Dessie Reynolds and Pauric Joyce.

owever the late showing of Mc Namee seen him level matters with a goal before kicking the winning point with the last kick of the game. It give the Faithful county there first win of 2022 following an opening round loss to Dublin, with it been Longfords first loss following their win over louth.

Next up for Billy O' Loughlins side is the visit of Dublin who made it 2 wins from 2 last night with a victory over the wee county. Elsewhere in the competition Laois were 1-12 to 0-09 point winners over Meath and Wicklow accounted for Wexford by 1-11 to 1-07
