Leitrim boss Terry Hyland has told his players to show pride in the jersey as they face into their final Allianz league group stage game.
Hyland’s charges are zero from two ahead of the trip to Corrigan Park to face Antrim after a very disappointing defeat to Louth last Sunday.
“They have to show a bit of pride and passion into their jersey now but that is the big thing that has to be played into now” declared Hyland.
Leitrim collapsed in the second half last Sunday as they eventually lost out 19 points to 10 at Avant money Pairc Sean Mac Diarmda meaning they have no chance of making the semi-final stages.
“It’s easy to make excuses and drop your head and say x, y and z, we didn’t do that (against Louth)” explained Hyland of the last performance.
“I have to take the wrap for that and as they say, that’s why I get the big bucks, but the reality is we just didn’t go out and perform”.
Antrim versus Leitrim is live on Sunday Sport from 3pm this afternoon with our coverage starting at 2pm.
