Enda Lyons has been appoint Leitrim U20 football manager for the 2026 season.
Lyons succeeds Barry McWeeney. McWeeney turned down Leitrim GAA’s two-year offer to continue as U20 manager.
Former Leitrim senior goalkeeper Lyons managed Longford side Rathcline for three-years with some success. The Carrigallen GAA Club man was a long-serving member of Leitrim GAA’s Coaching & Games team as a GDA.
Lyons, previously managed Leitrim minor squads and development squads. While also leading the management team that won the Connacht minor league in 2014.
In a statement, Leitrim GAA said; “Leitrim GAA confirms approval for the appointment of Enda Lyons as Under-20 Football Team Manager for 2026, subject to ratification at the next meeting of Leitrim GAA County Committee”.
Enda will be assisted by the following experienced backroom team: Adrian Dockery (Selector/Coach), Seán Gallagher (Selector/Skills Coach), Hughie Clinton (Selector), Cormac Haslam (Goalkeeping Coach), Darragh Finn (S & C) and Paddy Beirne (Stats).
