Athlone Town have added forwards Alexis Strickland and Kat Oelschläger to their panel ahead of their Champions league second round qualifiers.
The Midlanders came through their first round games, 4-0 over Cardiff City and 3-0 over ŽNK Agram last week. Athlone will now face Iceland’s Breiðablik in Enschede, Netherlands later this month in the second qualifying round.
American Strickland, a native of Raleigh, North Carolina; arrives at Colin Fortune's side following a short stint with Valadares Gaia in Portugal.
The 24-year-old played for NC State University’s Wolfpack and spent time with NC Courage alongside Ireland international Denise O’Sullivan.
German Oelschläger, 23, returns to Europe after completing a degree at Florida Gulf Coast University.
Subject to international clearance, both players will be available to face Bohemians at Dalymount Park in the Women’s Premier Division on Saturday.
