A well-known Castlerea resident has revealed he almost died in March after suffering blood poisoning.
Seamus O’Brien has diabetes and the lung condition COPD.
However, it was sepsis which almost claimed his life earlier this year.

He ran for Sinn Féin in the local elections in Roscommon in 2014 and 2019, and he first told Eoghan Murphy why he wasn’t standing on this occasion.
