The show is one of Ireland's oldest, and is taking place right up until this evening at Enybegs, in Killoe.

Thousands have come out to enjoy the Longford Agricultural show this afternoon.
The show is one of Ireland's oldest, and is taking place right up until this evening at Enybegs, in Killoe.

Among those attending was Tánaiste Simon Harris.
He recognised the great work that goes behind organising the show each year:

This year's edition was hosted by the newly appointed Cathaoirleach of Longford County Council, Gerry Hagan.
He says it's one of the highlights of the year for the county:
