The restrictions cover Castlerea, Drumshanbo, Ballinamore, Mohill and Carrigallen.

Uisce Eireann is urging customers across the region to conserve water after supplies were disrupted by Storm Isha.

Night time restrictions are to be brought in tonight in parts of Roscommon and Leitrim due to a power outage at the local water treatment plant at Mong Reservoir.

The restrictions cover Castlerea, Drumshanbo, Ballinamore, Mohill and Carrigallen areas from 11 o'clock tonight until 7am tomorrow.

Meanwhile, alternative water supplies are being made available at three locations in North Longford.

Water is available at St. Marys Church in Legga, the carpark at the Cross in Aughnacliffe Village and St. Patrick's National School in Ballinamuck.

Customers are asked to use their own containers when taking water from the tanker and to boil water before consumption as a precautionary measure.
