Uisce Éireann is currently working to restore a normal water supply to customers in Leitrim who have been affected by low reservoir levels. Recent power outages at the Carrick-on-Shannon Water Treatment Plant have resulted in customers in the Drumcarra area being affected. The power outages has also resulted in operational issues with reservoir levels now replenishing.
Uisce Éireann's Peadar Griffin says that expert crews are working to restore operations at the Carrick-on-Shannon Water Treatment Plant while ensuring reservoir levels are replenished. He also appealed to customers in South Leitrim to conserve water where possible to alleviate pressure on the local supply and thanked the local community for their patience.
