Two men in their 20's have been charged following an attempted robbery in Co. Westmeath.
At around 11pm on Tuesday, two men with knives entered a restaurant in Castlepollard.
They threatened a staff member and demanded money, but ended up fleeing the scene empty handed.

Two men were arrested a short time later and have since been charged.
They're due before Mullingar District Court this morning.
