Two hospitals serving the Shannonside region are among the most overcrowded in the country today.
Seventeen people are waiting to be admitted to hospitals in Mullingar as well as Sligo this morning according to the latest Trolley watch figures from the INMO.
A total of 166 people are waiting for a hospital bed today - with over fifty people at University Hospital Limerick on trolleys or chairs.
