Tarmonbarry lifting bridge will not be working on Monday

Boat users on the Shannon are being warned that the Tarmonbarry lifting bridge and lock won't be working next Monday the 12th of July for a number of hours.

The ESB is to carry out works on the electricity network in the Tarmonbarry area on next Monday between nine in the morning and four o' clock in the afternoon.

Anyone using a boat on the Shannon in the local area is asked to be aware that they won't be able to pass under the bridge or go through the lock during those hours on the day.
