Sligo University Hospital will get a special mental-health nursing team next year, according to the Mental Health Minister.
The service is being rolled out in 10 hospitals this year - but not in Sligo.
Minister Mary Butler was challenged about the issue in the Dáil this week.

Local Sinn Féin TD Martin Kenny says distressed mental-health patients are attending the emergency department in Sligo - and end up on trolleys.
