A Longford senator says it's "crazy" there are hosepipe bans and water shortages.
Fine Gael's Paraic Brady made the comments in the Seanad.
A hosepipe ban is currently in place in Dublin, south Tipperary, parts of Kildare, Meath, Wexford and Wicklow.
