Over 1,200 (1,234) business across counties Longford, Leitrim and Roscommon have received over 3.44 million euro to help them with the costs of reopening following Covid 19 closures.
The Restart Grant Scheme, allows rate payers apply to help with the costs of reopening their Business following Covid 19 closures.
In Roscommon, grants totaling over €1.2m have already been drawn down by 392 businesses.
As of last Friday, there were 444 applications processed in county Longford, with an allocation of €1.32m so far.
There are currently 129 further applications moving through the process in the county.
Leitrim County Council has to date approved 308 applications under the Rates Restart Grant Scheme to a value of just over 909,00 euro.(€909,466) for businesses in the county.
