Residents in a local town have raised serious concerns that they could be left without a GP service from next month. It comes as the current GP in Williamstown announced recently that he would be moving from the area. A public meeting in the town this week heard a HSE recruitment campaign has so far failed to attract a replacement locum doctor.
Residents in the County Galway town now fear they will be left to rely on the out of hours WestDoc service. A committee has been set up as efforts intensify to secure services in the local health centre.
