Denis Naughten believes the Government are putting the rollout of the National Broadband Plan on the long finger.

A Roscommon TD has hit out at the slow pace of the government's national broadband plan.

Denis Naughten told the Dail that a special committee, established to tackle bottlenecks in the delivery of high speed internet across the country, has not met since the contract for broadband was signed in 2019.

Last week it was claimed by the head of NBI,P Peter Hendrick, that just 60,000 homes will be connected this year- well short of the 115,000 predicted

Independent TD Denis Naughten says the government is just accepting excuses for the slow roll out of the NBP.
