Roscommon resident stranded in Brazil after suffering stroke

A go fund me page has been set up to raise money for a Roscommon resident who is stranded in Brazil.

James Pretty who lives in Elphin has set the page up after his father suffered a stroke while visiting the south American country in recent weeks.

His father needs an operation to insert stents before he can get on a place to come back home to Ireland but the operation will cost in the region of €10,000.

Speaking on the Let's Talk show this afternoon, James says his father has been making slow progress since the stroke, and it's vital he gets the operation as soon as possible.
