The PRO of the Roscommon GAA county board says there’s huge disappointment and frustration at the impact of the government’s decision not to move forward with Phase 4 of reopening on games this weekend and into the future.
The fact that outdoor gatherings are still limited means that most games can only allow an attendance of around 120 spectators.
Hugh Lynn says the GAA has acted responsibly in every way and has not reopened any indoor facilities in an effort to keep the risk of Covid-19 low.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan show this morning the Roscommon PRO says he believes that far more people could still be accommodated safely at most club games, and he’s hoping government will allow up to 500 outdoor attendance in the coming weeks rather than that present 200 limit.
