Roscommon County Council is set to host a civic reception for the county’s men’s darts team following their success at a recent national competition.
The Roscommon team won the Shield final of the INDO Inter-counties event in the Gleneagle Hotel, Killarney earlier this month.
Cllr Paschal Fitzmaurice proposed the reception at a recent meeting of Roscommon Municipal District.
His motion received the full support of Roscommon MD councillors, who each offered their own congratulations.
Cllr Fitzmaurice said it was important to reward the team’s excellent performance in Roscommon colours.
Cathaoirleach of the Municipal District, Cllr Larry Brennan also proposed that CBS Roscommon receive a civic reception following their All-Ireland post-primary schools football win earlier this month.
