A Roscommon artist will open the RTE All-Ireland Drama Festival this evening in Athlone. Avril Egan, a Curraghboy woman now based in Athlone, will open the exhibition tonight at 7.15. It will take place in the AIB Gallery at the Dean Crowe Theatre. The exhibition will feature some of her art which is inspired by everyday life in the town. Speaking to Let's Talk, Avril explained the meaning behind the exhibition:
