Roscommon County Council is seeking planning permission for significant road and pedestrian upgrade works in Castlerea.
The local authority is seeking permission for the works on Church Road in the town.Plans include the construction of junction tightening, a controlled pedestrian crossings and modifications of road surfacing on the section of the N60.Also included in the application is the construction of a parking and school entrance for the nearby primary school.
Local councillors will decide on the application at an upcoming meeting of the Boyle Municipal District.
