Renewed calls have been made for measures to be implemented to eliminate anti-social behaviour outside Longford courthouse. Fianna Fáil councillor Seamus Butler previously brought forward a motion on the issue to the Longford Municipal District meeting. He sought the Courts Service to provide alternative off street access to the building.
In a correspondence read during July's meeting the Courts Service outlined that they felt no such measures are needed. The members responded by agreeing to contact the newly-appointed Garda Superintendent for Longford for him to raise the matter at a higher level.
