Speaking in Co Roscommon this evening, historian Diarmaid Ferriter says he doesn't expect a united Ireland during his lifetime.
The Professor of modern Irish history at UCD was speaking at Boyle Arts Festival, where he was interviewed by journalist Carole Coleman in the Church of Ireland. Afterwards, he spoke to our reporter Eoghan Murphy about the current migrant situation, the legacy of Seán Mac Diarmada, the Irish presidential race, and whether the national anthem should be taught in schools.
