Plans have been lodged with Roscommon County Council for a discovery park at Arigna.
The park would include an accessible viewing platform, sensory garden, a Biodiversity and Energy trail, and disability car parking.
It's understood the park would be adjacent to the existing Arigna Mining visitor's experience.

The Mining Experience has been closed since last Christmas and there's no date as yet for it to re-open under the current restrictions.
