Plans have been lodged for a major housing development in County Longford.
John McCarthy is seeking to construct 100 housing units at Bloomfield Park on the Bracklin Road in Edgeworthstown.
The plans would see the demolition on an existing building and the construction on 50 houses and 50 apartments.

The development is classed as strategic infrastructure and therefore bypasses Longford county planners and is decided by the higher planning authority.
An Bord Pleanala will make a decision on the application in the coming months.
