Planning permission has been lodged for a major development at a former filling station in Roscommon.

John James Greene has applied to Roscommon County Council to demolish the existing derelict building and forecourt at the former Lakeview Service Station in Lanesborough. Included in the application is the decommissioning of the underground fuel tanks and the construction of a two storey commercial building. This building is set to include a digital hub or training centre, as well as a creche. Also included in the build is the construction of bicycle stands, parking, and all associated site works.

Roscommon County Planners will decide on the issue in March
