Over two million euro drawn down in local housing adaptation grants

Over two million euro in housing adaptation grants was drawn down in the Shannonside region last year.
The grant is aimed at assisting elderly homeowners and those with disabilities in carrying out adaptation works.
According to figures released by the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, over 2.1 million euro was drawn down in Leitrim, Longford and Roscommon last year.

570,822 euro was drawn down in Leitrim, 837,209 euro in Longford and 782,320 euro in Roscommon from an overall allocation of over 2.4 million euro
This compares with a total drawdown of 2.5 million euro across the three counties in 2022.
