A clean-up operation is continuing across the Shannonside region as communities deal with the aftermath of Storm Amy. While the storm wasn't as catastrophic as Storm Éowyn, over 400 remain without power Longford, Leitrim and Roscommon.
Some local roads do remain flooded and closed off, however, council crews have worked tirelessly to remove trees, branches and other loose debris. Director of Administration with Leitrim County Council, Kieran Brett says the picture is improving locally:
