Just over 300 social homes across the Shannonside region were retrofitted since 2022.
The latest Local Government Climate Action Key Performance Indicators Report reveals there's been a steady increase year-on-year.
Retrofitting refers to making changes and upgrades to a house to improve its energy efficiency, performance and comfort.
It is part of the government's climate action plan, which aims to bring social housing up to either a B2 or cost-optimal standard.
Co. Longford has the highest number of retrofitted social housing in the region, at 163 upgraded homes since 2022.
While Co. Roscommon recorded 88 newly-upgraded social homes.
Co. Leitrim reported the lowest number, at 57 retrofits.
Nationally, over 7,300 social houses had been retrofitted between 2022 and 2024, utilising funding from the expanded Local Authority Retrofit Programme.
