Over two-hundred people with Covid are being treated at hospitals in the Shannonside region today.
Three local hospitals are treating over fifty people each at present for the virus - at Galway and Sligo university hospitals as well as the Midlands regional hospital in Tullamore.
The number of people in hospital with Covid-19 has increased by over 25 per cent in the past week.

Two local hospitals had no general beds available as of 8am on Sunday morning - Mullingar and Sligo.
Three people with Covid are also in ICU at Portiuncula hospital in Ballinasloe.
