Over 1,200 posts in the Shannonside region have been filled by Ukrainian hires since the Russian invasion in 2022. Roscommon saw the highest number of Ukrainian hires with 446 posts filled in the past two years.
Leitrim was next with 425 job vacancies filled by Ukrainian workers while Longford has had 359 since February 2022. In total, 1,230 job posts in the Shannonside region have been filled by a Ukrainian national since the outbreak of the war.
