Schools in Leitrim are being presented with a special natural world resource as part of a new initiative through the Simon Community.
'Helping Our Homeless - A Gift for Schools' is the work of heritage lecturer Vincent Butler who has complied two decades of images from over 25 countries.
Sixty of those form part of Sixty Photographs For Simon which are accompanied by a short text which provides succinct details about various aspects of each image.
For every €20 raised through donations on a GoFundMe page, North West Simon Community will gift a copy of 'Sixty Photographs for Simon' to a school in Donegal, Leitrim and Sligo.
Vincent says it's not just about raising funds for homeless services hit by the pandemic but also about helping children get inspired about the world.
